US Advertisers of the Month for April 2025: Lowe's, PowerBall and Mega Millions

YouGov - May 16th, 2025

April’s US Advertisers of the Month are Lowe’s, Powerball, and Mega Millions, each showing significant increases in Ad Awareness as tracked by YouGov BrandIndex. Ad Awareness measures the percentage of consumers who have seen an advertisement for a brand in the past two weeks.

Lowe’s leads with a notable rise in Ad Awareness, moving from 30.5% to 37.3%, an increase of 6.8 percentage points. This uptick is likely linked to the retailer’s nationwide SpringFest sale, which ran through mid-April and featured major discounts across home improvement categories. The campaign was widely promoted online and in-store, coinciding with the seasonal demand for outdoor and garden products.

Powerball follows with an increase of 4.6 percentage points, rising from 22.7% to 27.3%. The brand’s Ad Awareness growth may be linked to media coverage surrounding major jackpots including a drawing on April 16 ($113.9 million) and April 26 ($167.3 million). The rise also could be related to promotion surrounding the NASCAR Powerball Playoff.

Mega Millions rounds out the top three with a gain of 4.6 percentage points, increasing from 23.0% to 27.6%. The increase is likely related to the relaunch of the game on April 5, which introduced bigger non-jackpot prizes, better odds, and a new built-in multiplier feature. The ticket price also doubled from $1 to $2, a change that was supported by a wide-reaching marketing push across states.
